I’m a final-year Software Engineer at UTS focused on data platforms and multimodal systems. I care about reliability and measurable outcomes: reduced A/V misalignment 5s→2s in a video pipeline, delivered a low-latency REST API for property analytics, and designed a smart-city data warehouse (10+ fact/dim tables) with reproducible ETL. I enjoy turning messy data into clear, actionable products.

Selected Projects

GenLesson — Multimodal Educational Video(individual)      Feb 2025– Now   

  • Built a video generation service orchestrating audio, vision and text modules. After testing, it can run directly locally on most terminals.

  • Enforced local-only processing and anonymised demos with documented provenance. Tuned parameters to improve A/V alignment from 5s to 2s and enable ≤10-minute one-click builds.

City Smell — Smart City Data Warehouse (individual)    Feb 2025– May 2025

  • Designed fact/dimension + bridge schema; wrote Python ETL into MySQL; documented decisions and tests.

  • Produced repeatable runs and queries; pipeline generalises to new datasets.

Embedded Multi-Sensor Alarm (AVR)(cooperation)      Feb 2025– May 2025

  • Implemented timers, ADC and external interrupts with PWM control and serial logging; achieved ~0.2 ms response.

Landvalue Real-Estate API (7-person team)             Feb 2024– May 2024

  • Translated domain questions into plain-English endpoint briefs, example JSON and data-flow sketches; agreed request/response contracts before coding.

  • Reduced clarification loops and accelerated sign-off.

ChatPPT — Image to Editable Slides (team)             Aug 2024– Nov 2024

  • Coordinated FE/BE integration; built the front end and prototyped Hough-based preprocessing with runnable scripts; added clear UI prompts and paired on debugging, leading to smoother integration and a coherent final demo.

Harbourside Redevelopment (de-facto lead)             Aug 2023 – Nov 2023

  • Ran weekly sessions and an action/owner tracker; aligned mixed backgrounds on payback period, net present value, benefit-cost ratio, life-cycle cost. Recorded 28% contribution across financial evaluation, risk and recommendations.

Campus Wi-Fi Signal Enhancement (team lead)           Feb 2022– Jun 2022

  • Set delivery cycle, milestones and checkpoints; led brainstorming and contributed 20%+ of the literature review; led the live demo and supported commercialisation planning. 

Reflection process

Green Buildings

There are two reflections on the application of sustainable development principles and cross-cultural and global contexts.

Reflection 1 — Sustainability

In this reflection I unpack a single turning point where our team had to keep a complex build moving with fewer hands and limited compute. The incident forced me to treat sustainability as more than energy use: it meant resilient planning, reusable knowledge, and measurable efficiency. I describe my feelings under pressure, the actions I took (task redesign, milestone control, experiment logging), the outcomes, and what I would do differently next time to make the system even more viable.

Reflection 2 — Intercultural & Global Practice

This reflection centers on a critical meeting in a multicultural, cross-disciplinary team where competing technical approaches stalled progress. I reflect on the frustration, how structured evidence-based discussions and inclusive turn-taking rebuilt momentum, and why explicit decision protocols matter in global engineering contexts. I close with what I’d change—earlier norms, intercultural check-ins—and how these lessons now shape my collaboration style and leadership.
